Most people cannot imagine what their basement can look like when it is finished off, even partially finished off basements can add not only to the overall value of the home but much needed square footage.  Basement remodels can include full bathrooms, saunas, kitchens, cedar closets, exercise rooms or whatever your needs or desires are.

Very often I like to incorporate a utility room when finishing off a basement.  I chose to discuss this simply because most families lack one thing in their homes: storage space. However big the space may be I like to incorporate built in shelving.

Some other projects I do in the basement are:

· Paint the walls & floor, using a special concrete paint product

· Remove and install new basement windows, with or without venting

· Sump pump replacement or repair

· Filling cracks in the floor
